College Experience: SMU through 4th grade eyes

Check out some of the pictures and quotes from students who visited Southern Methodist University and the George Bush Library.

“The day I went to SMU was the day I found my college. When I walked in, there were rooms filling the building. The coolest part was when there were restaurants! During lunch, I bought a bag of candy at the restaurants. It was soda flavored.” — Jaxson

“When I went to SMU the most interesting part to me was the museum. It was really fascinating. They had two pieces of the Twin Towers. And they had a wall with all the people who died in the Twin Towers. They also had four TVs that showed footage of what happened back then. They also had a copy of the President’s office and I got a chance to sit at the desk. We had a great time. It was really awesome for me!” — Josiah

“SMU was like heaven to me. I enjoyed it because it felt like I was going to college. What I liked most about the visit was learning about presidents and President Bush. I think in the future, I may go to that college. I may learn a lot of things.” — Bryce

“This trip was a great way to see a great school and museum. September 11th, 9/11, happened before I was born so I got to see the destruction of the towers on the screens at the museum. It made me feel really sad for the victims and their families.” — Alyssa
